ohann Graf (Graff/Graaf; baptised 1685–1750) was a German Baroque violinist-composer who rose to become Kapellmeister at the Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt court. After early activity connected with Nuremberg’s Deutschherrenstift, he served as an oboist/“Oboistenmeister” with the Löffelholtz regiment on campaign in Hungary—making formative visits to Vienna—before working in the court milieus of Mainz and Bamberg.
