Johann Pfeiffer (b. Nuremberg 1697 - d. 1761) was a German composer of the late Baroque. A first-class violinist, he became concert master at the Court chapel in Weimar. He was favoured by the Duke and accompanied him on a number of travels. in 1734 Pfeiffer moved to Bayreuth as Kapellmeister, and remained there until his death.
