John Richardson (January 19, 1934 - January 5, 2021) was an English actor, who appeared in movies from the 1950s until the 1990s. He appeared in many Italian films, including Mario Bava's Black Sunday (1960). His best known role was perhaps in One Million Years B.C. (1966), in which he played a grunting caveman who fell in love with Raquel Welch. He had small roles in the remake of The 39 Steps…

John Richardson aka Jayadev was born and raised in the county of Essex in the south east of England. He taught himself to play the drums at an early age and eventually became a session musician playing on many successful pop records in the UK. He found fame in the 1970’s as the drummer with glam rock band The Rubettes.
