== Geography == Krasnyansky is located in forest steppe, on Khopyorsko-Buzulukskaya Plain, on the right bank of the Medveditsa River, 50 km south of Kumylzhenskaya (the district's administrative centre) by road. Kozlov is the nearest rural locality.
