==Name== Before the Second World War, the village was called Veprovac (Вепровац) in Serbian, and in Pannonian Rusyn, both ultimately deriving from the term for "wild boar" (Serbian , Rusyn ), although possibly sooner connected to Serbian , "Ruscus aculeatus").
