Leopoldo Américo Miguez (Niterói, Sep 9, 1850 — Rio de Janeiro, Jul 6, 1902) was a brazilian composer, violinist and conductor. At 32, Miguez travelled to Europe on his own expenses to improve his musical skills, and get highly influenced by Richard Wagner works.
