Levko Mykolayevich Revutsky (Ukrainian: Левко Миколайович Ревуцький) was born on February 20, 1889 and died March 30, 1977. He was a renowned 20th-century Ukrainian composer who pioneered the piano sonata, a teacher, and a public figure. One of his students at the Lysenko Music Institute was composer Arkady Filippenko.
