Macroveliidae er en familie av insekter som tilhører tegene, en gruppe av nebbmunner. Nebbmunner har det til felles at munndelene er sugende og at de suger opp næringen. De lever sannsynligvis som rovdyr, der de suger ut kroppsvæske fra andre dyr. Det er bare kjent tre arter, alle fra vestkysten av Amerika.
