Mi Fu

Mi Fu (1051–1107) was a male painter, poet, calligrapher, and connoisseur from the Song dynasty. Born in Jiangsu and originally from Wu County, he worked in China and died in Kaifeng. He spoke Classical Chinese and is known by the courtesy name Yuanzhang and several art names, including Wuai Jushi and Hanyue Waishi. His family name was Mi, and he had a child named Mi Youren.

His works are held in the collections of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the National Palace Museum, Yale University Art Gallery, and the Detroit Institute of Arts. He is described in the History of Song. In Open Library, he is listed under the author name Yuzuomei, Zongzi, with one work count and the top work Tian shi de mian bao.
