Mikhail Naimy

Mikhail Naimy was a male writer, poet, philosopher, and literary critic born in Baskinta in 1889. He held citizenship in the Ottoman Empire, the United States, and Lebanon. Naimy was educated at the University of Washington School of Law and spoke English and Arabic. His notable work is The Book of Mirdad. Other works include Qiṣaṣ min Jibrān Khalīl Jibrān, Jibrān Khalīl Jibrān, Aḥadīth maʻa al-ṣiḥāfah, Mudhakkirāt al-arqash, and Hams al-jufūn.

He died in Beirut in 1988 due to lipid pneumonia. His manner of death was natural causes. He is also known by the name Mīkhāʼīl Nuʻaymah and his name in his native language is ميخائيل نُعَيْمة.
