A língua mongol, língua mongolesa ou mongol (oficialmente khalkha-mongol) é a mais conhecida das línguas mongólicas. É o idioma oficial da República da Mongólia e também é falada em regiões adjacentes na República Popular da China e na Rússia. Desde 1921, por influência soviética, é escrita com o alfabeto cirílico na Mongólia, apesar de ainda ser escrito com o alfabeto mongol em Mongólia Interior, na China. Na China, a partir de 1973 começou o ressurgimento interno da língua quando seu uso e desenvolvimento foram encorajados por políticos como Deng Xiaoping, favorecendo minorias de oito províncias e regiões autônomas do norte do país.
