== History == === Colonial Period === left|thumb|250px|Mongoumba, 1900s In 1905, Mongoumba became part of Moyen-Congo. Mongoumba was handed over to Germany in 1911. During World War I, French Army captured Mongoumba from Germany on 9 August 1914. French colonial government established a customs post in Mongoumba on 17 May 1923. On 1 January 1933, Mongoumba was ceded to Ubangi-Shari.
