Art martial interne
Sign in to saveNeijia (內家) is the collective name for the internal Chinese martial arts. It relates to those martial arts occupied with spiritual, mental or qi-related aspects, as opposed to an "external" approach focused on physiological aspects. The distinction dates to the 17th century, but its modern application is due to publications by Sun Lutang, dating to the period of 1915 to 1928. Neijin is developed by using neigong or "internal changes", contrasted with waigong (外功; wàigōng) or "external exercises" .

Les arts martiaux internes également appelés arts du poing interne ou neijia quan (du chinois 内家拳 nèijiā quán) sont une catégorie rassemblant différents styles d'arts martiaux chinois ou asiatiques, focalisés sur les aspects mentaux, spirituels et l'énergie (qi), et se définissant par opposition aux arts martiaux dits « externes ». Cette distinction remonte au XVIIe siècle mais a surtout été popularisée dans les années 1915-1928 lors de l'organisation de compétitions martiales. Cette catégorie est parfois désignée comme arts wudang ou styles wudang (wudang quan), d'après leur association légendaire avec les monastères taoïstes du mont Wudang.
