Neil Percival Young (Toronto, 12 november 1945) is een Canadees singer-songwriter. Hij begon zijn muzikale carrière in Winnipeg in de jaren 60, waarna hij naar Los Angeles verhuisde. Hier had hij succes met de band Buffalo Springfield waarna hij zich op solowerk richtte met Crazy Horse. Niet veel later sloot hij zich aan bij Crosby, Stills & Nash (and Young).
