==Taxonomy== The sole species was described in 2002 by Marc Tesmoingt and Gunter Schmidt as Stenotarsus scissistylus. However, the genus name was found to be occupied by the cold-enduring beetle, Stenotarsus, and the name was changed to Neostenotarsus scissistylus.
