Parry Gripp is the founder of Nerf Herder, creator of strange songs with even stranger songtitles. Parry Gripp is an Emmy-winning songwriter and recording artist, whose best-known works include “Raining Tacos;” songs for Netflix’s “Ask The StoryBots;” and theme songs for Disney’s “The 7D,” The Cartoon Network’s “Ben 10: Omniverse,” Marvel’s “The Super Hero Squad Show,” Netflix’s “StoryBots: Answer Time.” He was series composer for Disney’s “The 7D” and has also written songs for Disney’s “Phineas & Ferb” (where he appeared as a special guest), Netflix’s “Waffles + Mochi,” Netflix’s “Emily’s Wonder Lab,” Hallmark’s “Hoops & Yoyo” television specials, Amazon’s “Lily The Unicorn,” and the “Party Animals” video series for National Geographic Kids, now on Disney+. His YouTube videos were featured in Ricky Gervais’ Netflix series “Derek.” Actor Christoph Waltz portrayed a hamster in a sketch to Gripp’s song “Hamster On A Piano” on Jimmy Kimmel’s 2014 post Academy Awards show. For nearly a decade, Gripp created and recorded songs for Wawa’s popular “Hoagiefest” advertising campaign. His other advertising work includes songs for Hasbro’s “Elefun and Friends” ads, including “Hungry Hungry Hippos,” “Chasin’ Cheeky,” and more. Gripp’s first children’s book “Somebunny Loves Me” was published by National Geographic Kids with an accompanying song and video. He followed this up with “Raining Tacos,” based on his hit song by the same name and published by HarperCollins. Older fans might recognize Gripp’s style in the main title music for Amazon’s “Hazbin Hotel” and in the theme song to “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” which he wrote and recorded with his band Nerf Herder.
