A beautiful young girl, it didn't take long for photographers and agents to notice her and she began modeling at 15. In 1990 she entered the Miss Asia beauty pageant. Pauline Chan (陳寶蓮) (born May 23, 1973 – died July 31, 2002) was a Chinese-born Hong Kong actress, singer, and model. Born in Shanghai, she gained recognition in Hong Kong cinema and was best known for her appearance in the 1994 film From Beijing With Love. Amid a series of personal controversies and health issues, Chan later pursued a brief music career in Taiwan, releasing her only studio album 較春 (Jiao Chun).
