Philip Hayes (born in Oxford in April 1738 and died in London on 19 March 1797) was an English composer, organist and singer, and the second son of William Hayes, under whom he received his musical education. He matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford, and received the degree of BMus on 18 May 1763. He moved to London in 1765 and was appointed a Gentleman of the Chapel Royal on 30 November 1767.
