Concocted in a share house in the South of Brisbane in the mid-’80s, a small collective of well-acquainted musicians gathered to compose film soundtracks, music for pictures, therefore Picture Music. To this end, a ‘spec’ tape of Picture Music recordings would be produced to give to potential clients, or maybe even sell on the market. Picture Music registered as a business in the summer of 1986. If there is a red thread running through the Picture Music album, it is its "late-night" ambience. <

Picture Music est le quatrième album solo de Klaus Schulze. Il a été enregistré en 1974 et édité en janvier 1975 puis réédité en 2005. C'est le seul album solo où Klaus Schulze joue de la batterie, avant sa carrière solo il était batteur avec le groupe Tangerine Dream et avec Ash Ra Tempel.
