Born: August 5 1937 (Brussels); Conductor, composer, pianist. Bartholomée started to study piano at the age of six. With André Dumortier as piano teacher, he became a laureate at the Brussels Conservatory, where he achieved numerous prices. In Italy he followed master classes from Wilhelm Kempff, dedicated to Beethoven's work.
