Red-baiting, also known as reductio ad Stalinum () and red-tagging (in the Philippines), is an intention to discredit the validity of a political opponent and the opponent's logical argument by accusing, denouncing, attacking, or persecuting the target individual or group as anarchist, communist, Marxist, socialist, Stalinist, or fellow travelers towards these ideologies. Reductio ad Stalinum, às vezes ad Marxum, ad Leninum, ad Maum ou ad Castrum, é uma falácia lógica informal que visa desacreditar a validade do argumento lógico de um oponente, acusando-o de ser anarquista, comunista, marxista, socialista, stalinista ou simpatizante dessas ideologias., É semelhante à falácia reductio ad Hitlerum, mas orientada para a esquerda política.
