Robert Durst (Scarsdale, Nueva York; 12 de abril de 1943-Stockton, California; 10 de enero de 2022) fue un empresario estadounidense hijo del fundador de la compañía inmobiliaria National Debt Clock, Seymour Durst. Saltó a la fama en los años 1980 cuando su esposa desapareció. Trabajó en la compañía de su padre durante un tiempo pero a pesar de ser el primogénito y prepararse para dirigir la compañía, fue su hermano menor Douglas quien ocupó finalmente el puesto. El 14 de marzo de 2015 fue arrestado después de una entrevista para la televisión cuando durante una pausa para ir al baño, se dejó el micrófono abierto, mencionándose para sí mismo "Ya está. Te han pillado. ¿Qué hiciste? Pues matarlos a todos, por supuesto". El Departamento de Policía de Los Ángeles lo detuvo al día siguiente.
