Ruby Lin, or Lin Xin Ru, was born in Taipei on January 27th 1976. During High School she did some modeling. Her agent suspected that she might be good at acting when he found out about Ruby Lin's talent to cry on cue. When she graduated Zhong Xin High School she stared in her first movie role in School Days. Her favorable habits helped her career move forward, and she joined the acting company Yi Ren. Ruby Lin (chinesisch 林心如, Pinyin Lín Xīnrú; * 27. Januar 1976 in Taipeh) ist eine taiwanische Schauspielerin und Popsängerin. Lin hatte ihr Debüt in einem TV-Spot in Taiwan. Ihren Durchbruch hatte sie mit der Hauptrolle in und dessen Nachfolger Princess Pearl 2. Im Jahr 1999 begann sie ihre Karriere als Sängerin mit der ersten EP.
