Rush – kanadyjskie trio rockowe grające hard rock i rock progresywny. Zespół został założony w 1968 roku, a swój debiutancki album wydał w 1974. Początkowo grupa starała się imitować inne zespoły rockowe, przede wszystkim Led Zeppelin, lecz z czasem wykształciła swe własne brzmienie oparte na śpiewie wysokim głosem (śpiew Geddy’ego Lee często porównuje się do śpiewu innego basisty, Burke’a Shelleya), a także ostrej i melodyjnej grze gitary elektrycznej, wspomaganej przez gitarę basową, rozbudowany zestaw perkusyjny i elektroniczne instrumenty klawiszowe. Muzyka Rush miała wpływ na twórczość zespołów, jak m.in.: Metallica, Anthrax, Primus, Dream Theater, Tool, Iron Maiden, czy Symphony X. Zespół zdobył w sumie 22 złote i platynowe płyty, sprzedaż w USA wyniosła 25 milionów, co dało 79. pozycję według RIAA. 18 kwietnia 2013 roku został wprowadzony do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Z początkiem 2018 grupa zakończyła działalność.
