Saalkreis was a district (Kreis) in the south of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Neighboring districts were (from west clockwise) Mansfelder Land, Bernburg, Köthen, Bitterfeld, the district Delitzsch in Saxony, and the district Merseburg-Querfurt. The district-free city Halle is nearly surrounded by the district.

Saalkreis es un distrito alemán que se encuentra al sur del estado federal de Sachsen-Anhalt. Los territorios vecinos al norte son los distritos de Bernburg, Köthen y Bitterfeld al este el distrito de Sachsen denominado Delitzsch, al sur el distrito de Merseburg-Querfurt y al oeste el distrito de Mansfelder Land.
