Saltuarius es un género de gecos de la familia Carphodactylidae. Es endémico de Australia.[1]​ Son lagartos de piel con un aspecto áspero, de color rojo, gris o negro, con patrones más o menos regulares. La cola es ancha y plana. Especies Se reconocen las siguientes siete especies:[2]​ Saltuarius cornutus (Ogilby, 1892). Saltuarius eximius[3]​ Hoskin & Couper, 2013. Saltuarius is a genus of larger Australian geckos, known collectively as leaf-tailed geckos.

==Taxonomy== The genus Saltuarius was created in 1993 to accommodate some former members of the genus Phyllurus. These geckos appear very similar to the Uroplatus geckos native to Madagascar. However, this is a convergent evolution.
