三明市（闽中语三明话：[sɔ̃ 553 mã 41 sɿ 353]），別称闽中，是中华人民共和国福建省下辖的地级市，位于福建省西部。市境北接南平市，东临福州市，南界泉州市、龙岩市，西毗江西省赣州市、抚州市。地处武夷山脉东麓，戴云山西缘，中部为玳瑁山余脉，地貌以低山丘陵为主。闽江支流沙溪、尤溪、金溪自西向东流贯。全市总面积22,965平方公里，人口253万，市人民政府驻三元区。三明是福建省重要的工业基地，福建省区域性中心城市，国家森林城市，海峡西岸经济区城市，拥有全国唯一的海峡两岸（三明）现代林业合作实验区。
