Semnopithecus is a genus of Old World monkeys native to the Indian subcontinent, with all species with the exception of two being commonly known as gray langurs. Traditionally only the species Semnopithecus entellus was recognized, but since about 2001 additional species have been recognized. The taxonomy has been in flux, but currently eight species are recognized.

Die Indischen Languren (Semnopithecus) sind eine Primatengattung aus der Gruppe der Schlankaffen innerhalb der Familie der Meerkatzenverwandten (Cercopithecidae). Sie werden in zwei Untergattungen unterteilt, Semnopithecus mit sechs Arten, im Deutschen als Hanuman-Languren, Hulmane oder Graue Languren bezeichnet, und die Violettgesichtigen Languren (Kasi) mit zwei Arten, in Südindien und auf Sri Lanka. Hanuman-Languren zählen als Kulturfolger und heilige Tiere zu den bekanntesten Affenarten Indiens. Benannt sind sie nach Hanuman, einem indischen Gott in Affengestalt.

Гульманы (лат. Semnopithecus) — род обезьян из семейства мартышковые, включает 7 видов. Длина тела от 40 до 78 см, хвост длиннее тела и может достигать в длину 110 см. Средняя масса тела 11 кг (самки) и 18 кг (самцы). Это территориальные животные, населяющие лесистые районы и некоторые населённые пункты полуострова Индостан. Живут в группах. Питаются листьями, плодами, цветками и семенами. Раз в два года самка рождает одного, реже двух детёнышей. Беременность длится 200 дней. Продолжительность жизни в природе 20 лет, в неволе 25 лет.
