Shadowrun is een cyberpunk-fantasyrollenspel dat zich afspeelt in de jaren 2050 tot 2070 en later, in een wereld die afgeleid is van de echte maar in de fictieve toekomst (de periode ±2000 tot ±2080) een aantal belangrijke veranderingen ondergaan is.
