Shangrao (shàngráo 上饶), formerly known as Xinzhou and Guangxin, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province. It is located in the northeastern part of Jiangxi Province, at the intersection of the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, the Haixi Economic Zone, and the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone. It is the northeastern gateway of Jiangxi Province and an important part of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Haixi Economic Zone.
The name of the mountain is rich, and the land is rich in ancient times. Shangrao City, formerly known as Xinzhou, Jiangxi Prefecture-level City, is located in the northeast of Jiangxi Province, east of Zhejiang, south of Fujian, north of Anhui, at the intersection of Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, Haxi Economic Zone and Poyang Lake. Since ancient times, it has been called "the best rich, ecological capital", "the eight-way street" and "the first gate of Yuzhang".
