Simone Johanna Maria Simons (born January 17, 1985) is a Dutch mezzo-soprano singer who is the lead vocalist of symphonic metal band Epica. Simons had an interest for music ever since the age of 10, and after listening to the Nightwish album Oceanborn at the age of 15, she began taking classical singing lessons. Simone Johanna Maria Simons (Heerlen, Limburgo, Países Bajos, 17 de enero de 1985) conocida artísticamente como Simone Simons, es una cantante, compositora, empresaria, modelo, influencer y bloguera neerlandesa. Es la voz principal de la banda neerlandesa de metal sinfónico Epica, a la cual ingresó en el año 2002 con tan solo 17 años de edad, a partir de allí ha lanzado con la agrupación ocho álbumes de estudio y ha realizado giras mundiales. Además en su carrera como cantante ha colaborado con bandas como Primal Fear, Angra, Leaves' Eyes, MaYaN y Kamelot con la cual no solo participó en muchos de sus álbumes sino que también acompañó a la banda en una gira en 2011, su marido Oliver Palotai es el teclista de la banda kamelot. También ha compartido escenario con cantantes como Cristina Scabbia, Floor Jansen, Fabio Lione, Tommy Karevik, entre otros. En 2016 la revista estadounidense Revolver posicionó a Simone en el puesto No.11 de las mujeres más sexys del Hard Rock y Heavy Metal.
