استفن کوک

Stephen Arthur Cook is a male computer scientist, university teacher, and mathematician born in Buffalo in 1939. He holds citizenship in the United States and Canada and speaks English. Cook earned a Doctor of Sciences degree and was educated at Harvard University and the University of Michigan. His doctoral advisor was Hao Wang, and he has supervised doctoral students including Toniann Pitassi, Mark Braverman, and Walter Savitch.

He has worked at the University of Toronto and the University of California, Berkeley. Cook is a member of the Royal Society, the National Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society of Canada, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His awards include the Turing Award, the CRM-Fields-PIMS prize, the Order of Ontario, and the title of Fellow of the Royal Society. He has an Erdős number of 3.
