Steven Maxwell "Steve" Porcaro (born 2 September 1957, Hartford, Connecticut) is a keyboardist and composer who was an original member of the rock / pop band, Toto. Porcaro wrote the song "Takin' It Back" for Toto's first album, and the song was released as a single together with the hit, "Hold The Line". He also wrote "It's A Feeling" for Toto IV and "Lea" for Fahrenheit. He left Toto in 1986 after the Fahrenheit record in order to pursue a more full-time songwriting and composing career. <a h
Steven Maxwell Porcaro (Hartford, Connecticut, 2 september 1957) is een Amerikaanse zanger, songwriter en toetsenist. Hij is samen met z'n broer Jeff Porcaro en David Paich oprichter van de band Toto. Tot eind jaren 80 was hij de vaste toetsenist van de band, tot hij na het uitkomen van Fahrenheit de band verliet om zich meer op het schrijven en produceren te richten. Zo werkte hij onder andere samen met Michael Jackson en Jefferson Airplane.
