The Honourable Susan Frances Harmar Nicholls (born 23 November 1943 in Walsall, Staffordshire) is an English actress, most known today for her long-running role as Audrey Roberts on Coronation Street. Educated at the School of S. Mary and S. Anne (now known as Abbots Bromley School for Girls), and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she first became known as Marilyn Gates on the soap Crossroads, a role she played from 1964 to 1968. Susan Frances Harmar Nicholls, née le 23 novembre 1943 à Darlaston, est une actrice britannique, connue pour ses rôles à la télévision britannique dans Crossroads (1964-1968), The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (1976-1979) et Rentaghost (1981-1984), et en particulier pour son rôle de longue date en tant qu'Audrey Roberts dans le feuilleton Coronation Street (1979-1982, 1984-présent). Elle est également apparue à Broadway dans la reprise en 1974 de la comédie London Assurance. Sue Nicholls est apparue pour la première fois dans le rôle d'Audrey dans Coronation Street en 1979 et a tenu ce rôle par intermittence pendant six ans, avant de rejoindre définitivement le casting en 1985.
