Taurus, o Touro, é uma constelação do Zodíaco. O genitivo, usado para formar nomes de estrelas, é Tauri. Delas, as mais brilhantes são: Aldebarã, a Alfa do Touro, de magnitude aparente 0,85; Alnath, a Beta do Touro, de magnitude aparente 1,65; e Hyadum I, a Gama do Touro, de magnitude aparente 3,63. Próximo à Teta do Touro encontra-se também uma célebre nebulosa, a Nebulosa do Caranguejo. O Touro também é notável por possuir dois belos aglomerados estelares: as Híades e as Plêiades. As constelações vizinhas, segundo as fronteiras modernas, são: o Cocheiro, o Perseu, o Carneiro, a Baleia, o Erídano, o Órion e os Gêmeos.
