Transformice is a multiplayer game, where you are a small mouse out to get a cheese and bring the cheese back to the hole. The game includes a physics engine, so interactions between players are realistic. Each round lasts 2 minutes max, and in order to help the 20 or so mice-players to get the cheese, a player will be chosen to be the powerful shaman and will be able to spawn different objects to guide the mice.

Transformice est un jeu vidéo indépendant multijoueur en ligne, reposant sur la technique Flash d'Adobe et intégrant le moteur physique Box2D. Il peut être joué dans un navigateur sur le site, par l’intermédiaire d’une application indépendante (disponible pour Windows et MacOS) , et depuis 2015, sur la plateforme Steam. Depuis 2016, Transformice The Cartoon Series, une web série diffusée sur YouTube, met en scène les personnages du jeu. Elle est produite par Cross River Productions. Après plus de 40 épisodes, la série s'est terminée . Fin 2020, à la suite de l'arrêt programmé d'Adobe Flash Player sur Navigateur web, le jeu incite à une migration sur la plate-forme Steam.
