Two teams, CipherShed and VeraCrypt, are currently leading the TrueCrypt replacement initiative. And that is very good news. We work with both teams for the better of the community. The ongoing complete (100%) rewrite of the TrueCrypt code by Ciphershed is a massive undertaking and will take its time. In the mean time we put together the whole TrueCrypt Source into a github repo: feel free to clone. If you like to help financially, we now accept donations through the pure-privacy association.

TrueCrypt è un software per computer di tipo open source usato per la crittazione "al volo" (in lingua inglese on-the-fly), sviluppato primariamente per Windows XP e per le versioni successive ufficialmente fino alla versione 7.1, ma disponibile anche per Linux e macOS. Lo sviluppo del programma è terminato nel mese di maggio del 2014 in concomitanza con la fine del supporto del sistema operativo Windows XP da parte di Microsoft.
