TrueCrypt.ch is the gathering place for all up-to-date information. Unfortunately TrueCrypt.org is dead. But, we (the pure-privacy people) will help organize a future. Independent hosting in Switzerland will guarantee no interruption due to legal threats. We are looking for lively interaction with users and a great community concerned about privacy in the digital world. We still offer all the downloads which are no longer available at TrueCrypt.org. Anonymous development on a security relevant Project is no longer an option. The TrueCrypt.ch team will stand with their real name! Two teams, CipherShed and VeraCrypt, are currently leading the TrueCrypt replacement initiative. And that is very good news. We work with both teams for the better of the community. The ongoing complete (100%) rewrite of the TrueCrypt code by Ciphershed is a massive undertaking and will take its time. In the mean time we put together the whole TrueCrypt Source into a github repo: feel free to clone. If you like to help financially, we now accept donations through the pure-privacy association.

TrueCrypt – nierozwijane już oprogramowanie na licencji Open Source dla systemów Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008/7, Linux oraz Mac OS, umożliwiające szyfrowanie całych partycji „w locie”. Oprogramowanie wraz z kodem źródłowym udostępnione było przez TrueCrypt Foundation na licencji TrueCrypt Collective License. TrueCrypt potrafi szyfrować całe dyski lub pojedyncze partycje, tak iż tylko po wprowadzeniu hasła możliwy jest odczyt bądź zmiana danych znajdujących się na szyfrowanej partycji. Po wprowadzeniu hasła, którym została zabezpieczona partycja, możliwa jest praca na danym dysku, tak jakby był to każdy inny dysk dostępny w systemie. Pozwala tworzyć wirtualne woluminy, pod które można podmontować zaszyfrowany system plików zapisany w pojedynczym pliku znajdującym się na nieszyfrowanym dysku, pamięci flash oraz na każdym innym napędzie dostępnym w systemie. W związku z zakończeniem rozwoju projektu w maju 2014 roku, na stronie projektu pojawiło się ostrzeżenie o tym, że TrueCrypt nie może być już uznawany za bezpieczny. Natychmiast po porzuceniu projektu przez jego autorów, został on przejęty przez grupę programistów ze Szwajcarii, która zapowiedziała kontynuację projektu i dalszy rozwój programu pod nazwą TCnext, jednak do dziś nie powstała żadna nowa wersja aplikacji pod tym szyldem. Pojawiły się także strony internetowe pozwalające pobrać starszą, bardziej funkcjonalną wersję (7.1a).
