Tyrrell County (/ˈtɛərɪl/ TAIR-il) is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 3,245, making it the least populous county in North Carolina. Through most of its history it has been the least populated county in the state.Its county seat is Columbia.
