Václav Neumann (October 29, 1920 - September 2, 1995) was a prominent Czech conductor. He is noted as a champion of Czech music, above all specialist on Bohuslav Martinů. Václav Neumann created excellent recordings of complete symphonic works of Bohuslav Martinů, Antonín Dvořák and Gustav Mahler. Neumann was born in Prague and studied at the conservatoire there.
