Waaksens is a village in Súdwest-Fryslân in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 83 in January 2017.
==History== The village was first mentioned in the 13th century as Waxlinghe, and probably means "settlement of the people of Wachsa (person)". Waaksens is a little terp (artificial living hill) village. The houses and farms are scatter around the church. It used be an isolated village, because it lacked both road and water connections.
