وانگ ژی‌چی

Wang Xizhi (321–361) was a male calligrapher, painter, politician, and writer from the Eastern Jin dynasty. Born in Linyi, he was a member of the Wang clan of Langye and held the courtesy name Yishao. His primary fields of work included Chinese calligraphy and Chinese literature, and he spoke Chinese. He was a student of Wei Shuo and is the father of Wang Xianzhi.

His notable work, Lantingji Xu, is part of his body of writing. Other recorded works include Jin Wang Xizhi Mo Ji, Tang Mo Wang Xizhi Yi Men Shu Han, Song Ta Huairen Ji Wang Shu Sheng Jiao Xu, Cao E Bei Mo Ji, and Song Ta Xue Shaopeng Mu Ke Lan Ting Xu. His works are held in the collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the National Palace Museum. Wang Xizhi died in Zhejiang.
