Auch zählen Mittel, die Gegenstände oder immaterielle Güter beschädigen, zerstören oder gebrauchsunfähig machen können, dazu. Der Waffenbesitz und der Waffengebrauch sowie die Waffenwirtschaft (die Waffenherstellung und der Waffenhandel) werden unter anderem durch das Waffenrecht geregelt. Sportwaffen sind wegen ihres Gefährdungspotentials ebenfalls davon betroffen. Fachlich mit Waffen befasst sich die Waffenkunde.
