Wenzel Müller (26 September 1767 – 3 August 1835) was an Austrian composer and conductor whose career was centred on German-language theatrical music in Vienna and, for a period, Prague. Born in Moravia (often given as Markt Türnau), he trained as a theatre musician and is reported in modern reference summaries to have studied with Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf before entering professional stage work. His defining appointment came in 1786, when he became Kapellmeister at the Theater in der Leopol
