A toaster is a small electric appliance that uses radiant heat to cook sliced bread into toast. When cooked the bread browns due to the maillard reaction. It typically consists of one or more slots into which bread is inserted, lowered, and cooked using heating elements, often made of nichrome wire, to generate heat and toast the bread.

Thermomix
The Thermomix is a multi-purpose kitchen appliance of the Multicooker type made by Vorwerk. The current Thermomix has a heating element, a motor for fast or slow blending and stirring, and a weighing scale. The functions can be accessed simultaneously to carry out steaming, emulsifying, blending, precise heating, mixing, milling, whipping, kneading, chopping, weighing, grinding and stirring. The 2014 Thermomix TM5 also has a touchscreen with a guided mode which allows the user to follow recipes step by step.

Remoska

It consists of a Teflon-lined pan and a stand in addition to the lid mounted heating element. It was developed by the Czech electrical engineer Oldřich Homuta in the 1950s. The Remoska has no graded heat control. It cooks in a similar manner to an oven and is stated to be very economical in terms of electricity (470 watts for the Standard Remoska).

Siru () is an earthenware steamer used to steam grain or grain flour dishes such as tteok (rice cakes), most notably siru-tteok. The siru is an earthenware steaming vessel that dates back to the late bronze age of the Korean northern peninsula and the use of the utensil spread to the entire peninsula by the time of the Three Kingdoms in which the popularity of siru-tteok grew. Quooker is a company from the Netherlands that manufactures mixing taps with integrated heating elements (instant boiling water dispensers), as well as soap dispensers, water filters and water softeners for removal of minerals from hard water. The company was founded in 1987 by Henri Peteri and his son Niels Peteri. The company holds several patents on both the boiling water tap and other products. Quooker is currently active in 16 different countries as of 2023, and has more than 400 employees. All products are manufactured at their factory in Ridderkerk, the Netherlands.
