Tutankhamun or Tutankhamen (; ), was the thirteenth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of ancient Egypt, who ruled . Born Tutankhaten, he instituted the restoration of the traditional polytheistic form of ancient Egyptian religion, undoing a previous shift to the religion known as Atenism.
