AI overview

Actinides are a group of at least 14 metallic chemical elements with atomic numbers 89 to 102, named after actinium, the first element in the series. These elements are important in chemistry and physics because they have unique properties related to their position in the periodic table, and they include elements like uranium and plutonium that have significant practical and scientific applications.

Actinoide [-noˈiːdə] („Actiniumähnliche“; griech.: Endung -οειδής (-oeides) „ähnlich“) ist eine Gruppenbezeichnung bestimmter ähnlicher Elemente.
