Afshar or Afshari (Azerbaijani: Əfşar) is a Turkic dialect spoken in Iran and Afghanistan by the Afshars. Ethnologue and Glottolog list it as a dialect of the Azerbaijani language. The Encyclopædia Iranica lists it as a separate Southern Oghuz language.
