Kręg obrotowy, obrotnik (łac. axis) – drugi kręg szyjny kręgosłupa kręgowców, mający tzw. ząb (dens) odchodzący od trzonu ku górze, w którym obraca się pierwszy kręg szyjny – dźwigacz. Obrotnik ma grube i silne blaszki, a jego otwór kręgowy jest duży, lecz mniejszy niż dźwigacza.
