Bawean () is an island of Indonesia located approximately north of Surabaya in the Java Sea, off the coast of Java. It is administered by Gresik Regency of East Java province. It is approximately in diameter and is circumnavigated by a single narrow road. Bawean is dominated by an extinct volcano at its center that rises to above sea level. Bawean (em indonésio: Pulau Bawean) é uma ilha da Indonésia, a norte de Java e a sul de Bornéu. Situada no mar de Java, está a cerca de 150 km de Surabaya. A sua capital, , é um porto com cerca de 40 000 habitantes. No total, Bawean é habitada por mais de 70 000 pessoas (censo de 2010), dedicadas principalmente à pesca e à agricultura.
